2012 Coupon Savings

Ok, to those of you who say couponing isn't worth it. Here is just SOME of my receipts I've dug up from 2012. I didn't even include all of my receipts from Food Mart where I used to shop for the most part at the beginning of the year. No its not all of my receipts but you get the idea, I highlighted the coupons I did use. Granted the price matching isn't showing up but from what I did total I had $417.84 in just coupons! Point proven if you take the extra hour a week when you're watching tv to coupon you can save, A LOT
Just imagine how much I saved by price matching too, I'll have to dig up my worksheets to see what they have to say! I knew I saved a lot but to physically see all of the receipts made me feel accomplished. I'm a visual person so I got super excited when I saw it all.

Stay tuned folks, I promise come 2013 I'll post more specifics about my system and what works for me. I re-vamped my binder so I'm super excited to share that with you as well. But, for now, here's a sneak peak of it :)

  1. Hi Kelsey, I’m Anne from Life on the Funny Farm (http://annesfunnyfarm.blogspot.com), and I’m visiting from the Clever Chicks Blog Hop.

Wow, that's a lot of money! I've been doing my couponning through ebay, and it has helped so much. I hate when I run out of time to do it, though! Resolution time???

Anyway, thanks for posting this. If you’ve never visited yet, I hope you can pop by my blog sometime to say hi…

    2. how do you get coupons on ebay? we live in small town and the paper never has that many coupons and rarely ones that we would use. most of them arent even worth it

    3. A way to find them on ebay is sometimes if you search a specific one you're looking for otherwise some websites sell the coupons not just ebay. Try searching for the specific item or search for coupon clippers that mail coupons to people by ordering them. Good luck and I know that all Sunday papers include the inserts nationwide. If you have more questions feel free to email me!

  2. Couponing is absolutely worth the time and effort. I've been a couponer for over 4 years and have taught many of my co-workers, friends and family how to do it. I no longer track all my purchases because it takes so much time, but I routinely save around 89% on groceries, toiletries, etc. It's too bad most people think they don't have time or can't be bothered. Can't be bothered to save money? That's nuts!

Hope you'll stop by and see me at crankypuppy.blogspot.com.

    1. Yes, I don't regularly save THAT much on all items but household products I usually save a bunch on. I don't buy household products without coupons and it breaks my heart to buy groceries without coupons but sometimes there just aren't coupons out there for needed items. Come "follow" me and of course I'll swing by and follow ya :)

  3. That's such a great idea! I wish I did more couponing. I'm a terrible grocery shopper. I just go to the store and grab stuff...so we usually end up with lots of pantry and freezer food. :(
Thanks so much for linking up to the Craft Yourself Crazy link party!!

  7. Before my Facebook page and blog got really busy, I was a hard-core, recycle-center picker and master couponer! It was SUCH a thrill to walk out of a store knowing that they paid ME to take product out of the store. I sooo miss it! Not enough hours in the day to do it all.

Thank you for linking up with the Clever Chicks this week; I hope you’ll join us again!

  8. Great post! I married into a family that used coupons so much so that if they didn't have one they would not buy the product so this reminded me of the coupon days and I for one know that you have saved some money because it can be done. In the old days you could make money on them those days are gone now but oh the fun you must have...thanks for sharing on FarmGirl Friday...

  11. Great job! Wow...sounds like we all have the same story! lol I was heavy into couponing for years till my blogs and business got too busy. Now I only spend about an hour a week on it. I managed to rack up $2900 in savings in the last year at my favorite store (I only know that because the receipt tells me! lol)
    Keep up the great work!
