Weekend Review

This past weekend was a complete blur for me! I was on vacation in Washington DC and New York City for eight days and I really haven't completely gotten my life back into "normal mode" quite yet.

We flew back into Omaha on Saturday and arrived at the airport around 11 pm. Thankfully Travis was a trooper and dropped us of f and picked us up without having to pay the $3.50/mile taxi rate we were used to in DC. The entire trip back I'm pretty sure the only reason he was able to stay awake was because I continuously talked his ear off. Poor dude was ready for some late night quiet time and I was ready for a gab sesh explaining all the sights and sounds of the past week's events.

Sunday was filled with family time. Travis' parents hosted an early Easter dinner and invited my parents along to eat with us. The ham, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, rolls and dessert salad were amazing. Well, food in general is just amazing. I'm so grateful we were lucky enough to spend some time together with both sets of parents. We really are blessed to have to amazing families that not only support our relationship but also are amazing role models to look at for relationship advice.

This week sounds like the weather will be warming up and I'm more than excited to see all the fun new spring earth come to life. I cannot wait to get back outside to focus on running along with doing more photography sessions in nature again. For some reason I'm just always an outdoor type of person and winter always makes me feel trapped! Good bye ol man winter, please stop dropping those tiny flakes of frozen sadness on our lawn and sunshine please take his place!
